The proposed concept to upgrade the Glendhu Bay Campground has revolved around strengthening the special nature that the site provides along the edge of Lake Wanaka. 

We have designed and divided the site in 2 sections that aims firstly to enhance the existing layout of site to the east of the main entrance and secondly develops a whole new layout to the west and beyond the Alpha Burn Creek.

A clustered type model has been applied, which creates a series of enclosed campsites, providing internal vehicle access to all sites and individual launching ramps to the lake. Each cluster is surrounded by dense native plantings with pedestrian friendly linkages to all facilities and a cycle way the flows along the full length of the lake front.
