Project InformationThis small project for Queenstown Primary School involved redesigning and rebuilding their original, overgrown, rough concrete steps which led from the school bus drop off point to a higher level with classrooms, administration and play areas. The entrance steps were completed to our working drawings with the help of the school children and BDG staff who planted up the surrounding area with native planting.
The finished project was in the local paper a few days later with the bad news that heartless theives had stolen all the planting overnight. BDG and the local landscaping contractor planted up the areas once again at their own expense. It is now establishing well under the watchful eye of the school children.
