Remarkables Primary School, Frankton

Remarkables Primary School in Frankton is located adjacent to Lake Wakatipu in the Frankton township close to Queenstown.  The school is a brand new construction close to the Remarkables mountain range to accomodate the growing primary school population in Queenstown and the surrounding areas.

BDG designed the grounds around the school providing spaces for learning and for play for the school children leading down to the lake.  There are areas of native planting to provide a contrast to the large central sport courts and a stepped amphitheatre large enough to hold all the pupils on special occasions.  The designs allowed for future expansion of the school and is establishing well.
